Room 11 have been watching the seagulls. Some of them are very noisy and they try to steal our food. We watched a bossy seagull perch on the roof and screech at the others. The children shared their ideas and we made them into this poem.
Ten fat seagulls
fighting over the bread
squawking at each other
flying and flapping their wings
one gull perched on the roof
fierce red beady eyes
puffing himself up to be scary
spreading its tail like a fan
looking for more mouldy bread
then plunging to get it
kakakakakakaka!
by room 11.
